Open House at the Dot 2 Dot Inn
So, here we are, trying to take deep breaths to allow the enormity of what we have just committed to, to sink in. Crazy enough to sell up in London and re-settle in Boston without knowing a single person there. Might as well ramp up the odds and open a restaurant while we’re at it - in Dorchester, an area that is openly skeptical and warily welcoming until we break bread together and make ‘The Hood’ our home, and what an amazing home it was.
Now we find ourselves in semi-rural Georgia in a previous plantation home (ha ha I am very aware of the ironies) offering four-poster beds, gourmet food and D2D hospitality. You can never say I’m not up for a challenge.
Thank you to all those who joined us for the Open House Grand Opening event. It was a lot of fun with speeches from Jim Marshall (historian) and Jim Stone (Tytan Pictures), Richard and myself. Thank you for all those extra hands that helped pull things together in the final preparatory moments, and just for the sheer goodwill of this new community, who are as excited as we are to see what we can all do to place Eatonton firmly on the map as a tourist destination.
Enjoy the photos and come say hello when you’re in the area.
