Happy New Year for 2019

I think perhaps I haven’t quite got my head around the fact that we are into a new year. This could be attributed to several factors: the fact that I haven’t had to shovel snow, that Christmas day was ridiculously calm in the kitchen and that I didn’t throw a New Years party ending in the wee hours of the next morning. I missed our usual suspects around the dinner table and on the dance floor, but also enjoyed the making of new friends who have been so kind and hospitable. We have been welcomed into so many homes and been recipients of this famed southern hospitality that it led my mother-in-law to comment several times on how on earth we knew so many people here. Thank you for welcoming us and confirming our belief that this was absolutely the right move to make. We are looking forward to getting the D2D Inn on the map and thereby help with the revitalization of downtown Eatonton. I hope to host many events at the house so that it is used to its full potential - so watch this space! And, again, please do come by and say hello - I promise I can be just as southern in my hospitality. Now I just need to find some snow to shovel so that I can get busy in 2019.
