A Remarkable Recovery Story

UPDATE from Karen (9/29/23)

So I guess this is my chance to say thank you to so many of you who have been very kind to me and my family during this rather long period. We certainly were not expecting quite such a curve ball and circumstance has a way of changing your perceptions and reminding you that life can be short. We are grateful for the prayers that were offered to see a recovery and if you see me walking around, it is hard to think that I was in a 6-week coma in ICU and many months of rehab after that. But I feel like I am ready to be back on board now and excited to open the Dot 2 Dot Inn and start cooking again.

If you want to know for sure that I am cooking and catering, visit Sylvia’s – Eatonton’s amazing new coffee shop downtown on Jefferson, part of Georgia Writers Museum, and seriously good coffee. Now you can enjoy a slice of my homemade quiche too, or call and order a whole one for a family lunch/dinner.

If you have friends or family visiting, there is a place to stay again and freshly prepared breakfasts to start the day. We look forward to seeing you – either at Sylvia’s or at the Inn.
