We need your help. Attend a Meeting! Bring Back Brunch!
Dear Friends of Dot 2 Dot Inn,
We can finally share an update on our zoning predicament. We realize this is a lot to ask, but if you are able to attend one or both of these meetings, we think it would go a long way towards showing the City Council what an asset Dot 2 Dot can be here.
MEETING #1:
When: Monday, August 8 at 6:00 PM
Where: The Hut - located at 400 W Marion St, Eatonton
Details: The Eatonton Planning & Zoning Commission will consider the proposed conditional use that would allow B&Bs to serve food to non-lodging guests. This does not pertain specifically to Dot 2 Dot Inn, but if it is approved, we can then apply for a conditional use permit. On August 8th, the Planning & Zoning Commission will vote for or against the proposed conditional use. It is a non-binding vote but the City Council will take the outcome into account when they vote on the matter.
We are asking for community support at this meeting where friends of Dot 2 Dot Inn can say a few words. The emphasis would be on the following examples:
Eatonton needs more high-quality places to eat
Allowing B&Bs to host events brings foot traffic and dollars into the City
Allowing B&Bs to host events supports other businesses and organizations in the City (e.g. Plaza, GA Writers Museum, Uncle Remus Museum, downtown retail)
The proposed conditional use gives people more access to the historical properties in which many B&Bs are located and is a valuable aid to the preservation of such properties.
MEETING #2:
When: Monday, August 15 at 7:00 PM
Where: The County Commissioners Building - Meeting Room #203,117 Putnam Drive
Details: The City Council will vote to determine whether the proposed conditional use will be permitted or not. Again, we are asking Dot 2 Dot Inn supporters to speak in favor of the new conditional use at this meeting.
IMPORTANT NOTE: At both the P&Z Commission and City Council meetings, people must sign-up to speak before the meeting starts. Sign-up sheets will be available at each meeting. Please allow 5-10 minutes before the meeting begins to be sure to be signed in.
We thank you, in advance, for your ongoing support and pray that the end is in sight. Please consider joining us and help Bring Back Brunch at Dot 2 Dot Inn!

Bring Back Brunch @ Dot 2 Dot
Help us Bring Back not only Brunch, but Pre-Theater Dinners, English Tea-Time, and Private Events with on-site Catering. ie: bridal showers, birthday lunches, wedding breakfasts, baby showers, Christmas parties, graduation dinners, etc.
Last year the brunches gathered enough momentum to be a regular feature on our calendar. We received such amazing feedback on the Pre-Theater Dinners too. Where else in Eatonton can you get dressed up for a fancy dinner prior to a show at The Plaza? And where else can you enjoy a gourmet three-course meal in the comfort of a historic home full of charming details? We know many in this community support the need for a place like Dot 2 Dot as the backdrop to your special celebration.
Please, help us bring back gourmet dining to downtown Eatonton.
